I’m a 20 year Reason user who wanted a touch screen controller. I looked for something and never found it. In 2022 I found TouchOSC and built the first Mirror template for it. I tried to market it and quickly found that it only worked on top tier processors and I kept refunding money. Since then I have created some simpler templates and devices have become more powerful. in 2026 with the launch of Reason 14 I wanted to share them for free. What is it/are they and how do they work?

• JQD Mirror controllers are template for ‘TouchOSC’ by Hexler which is a $10 app that I am not associated with nor do I receive any revenue. They are a layer on top of another software and they do not load as simply as clicking on an app but I believe that they are easy to use once you understand the process.

• The templates now have various complexity and so the simplest controller is just for the transport and should work on almost any device out there, all the way up to the combined SSL and Rack with multiple Reason Devices - but to note - this template will overload anything but the most powerful touchscreen device. In between are templates that controls the SSL and transport without the rack (this one should work on most modern devices), or a template that controls the combinator, the transport and has a user mapping device and this one should work on even more devices.
