About The Best Controller Ever
JDQ Mirror is a software controller which provides near-no latency controller for Reason Studios which can run on a Tablet, a touch screen laptop or even a phone. Your devices need to be on the same network and then I will get them talking with Reason so you can make better music easier!
JQD Mirror SSL and Rack now controls both the Main Mixer and/or Rack Devices. Currently there are 10 completely mapped rack devices with layouts that match the Reason counterpart but, you can map any device to one of Mirror’s 8 different “user defined” templates.
JDQ Mirror is 100% 2-way. This means that when you switch to a channel, Mirror picks up the settings from Reason and sets all parameters as you have them previous set. Switch the mirror between channels and get the setting you set. No hardware controller does this so completely. Not even the most expensive you can find.
As a Reason user who also travels constantly I wanted a control surface that I could pack with me and go, finally after years of failed searches I found TouchOSC and developed Mirror.
In SSL mode, Mirror controls every parameter of the main mixer with 9 channels on screen which can be shifted left or right for up to 64 Channels. To use this mode, in Reason on your PC attach the main mixer to JQD Mirror as a device.
To use Rack mode, detach the main mixer and JQD Mirror will follow your sequencer track selection or you can choose to define your own device.
In addition the JQD Mirror has a transport control which provides most of the transport features in Reason.
JDQ Mirror is a controller built on top of the software TouchOSC by Hexler LTD. I am not affiliated with Hexler at current and you will need to purchase either the TouchOSC app for Anrdroid or IOS ($10), or purchase a Windows/Mac license($10). A license is not required on the machine which hosts Reason Studios.
